Kamil Leman, CP/BOCPO
After graduating from Prosthetic/Orthotic school in Prague, Czech Republic, Kamil Leman started working for FN2 Orthopedic Hospital on several projects with the head Prosthetist/Orthotist Mr. Kaiser and Dr. Vrbicky and Dr. Vosatka. Throughout the years, he had continued training in the Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria to seek newer and better technology, materials, and techniques in order to further improve the prosthetic and orthotic devices and ultimately to improve patients needs and lifestyles.
After the Velvet Revolution in the Czech Republic, he started working towards a reunion with his family, who had immigrated to the United States in the early 80s. His first position as a Prosthetist/Orthotist was in Savannah, Georgia, where he worked for 3 years and then decided to move west to enjoy outdoor living and four-season weather. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, hunting, archery, mountain biking, snowboarding and snowmobiling. He worked for a Casper Prosthetic/Orthotic company for 3 years and then had an opportunity to manage a Prosthetic/Orthotic facility in South Carolina but chose to stay in Casper where he can continue to serve the community and patients who are in need of his knowledge and expertise in the field of prosthetics and orthotics. This led to the opening of his own high-tech facility, Precision Prosthetics Orthotics, LLC.
Precision Prosthetics Orthotics stays up to date with the latest technology and most comfortable designs by attending seminars and courses all over the world. We are certified through OPGA in MAS Design for lower extremity and through Otto Bock Health Care in Upper Extremity Amputee Rehabilitation, Harmony Suction Socket System and the most advanced Microprocessor C-Leg Knee System. We have recently added the Pre-Preg technology, which makes the prosthetic and orthotic devices lighter and stronger.
Vince Lukowiak, CP
Vince Lukowiak started his career in orthotics and prosthetics in 1982. He attended community college in Memphis, Tennessee, for his certificate in prosthetics and after graduating he did an internship at a very progressive company called Snell’s Orthotics and Prosthetics. After leaving Snell’s he went to work in Denver, Colorado. He spent 4 years working for a gentleman who was an instructor for congenital and juvenile prosthetics and orthotics. During the 4 years he worked under this gentleman he became quite skilled in the area of children’s orthotics and prosthetics and discovered that working with children was where he found his greatest pleasure. He then moved to Odessa, Texas, where he worked for Premium Brace and Limb and Lubbock Orthotics. It was during this time that he co-managed the two companies and developed his extensive management skills. This was a progressive area of his life as the companies he worked with did a lot of experimentation and inventing in the area of orthotics and prosthetics. They came up with a lot of new innovations that are still in the market today.
After leaving Lubbock, TX, Vince returned to Casper, his hometown, to become involved with High Plains Orthotics and Prosthetics. He managed this for several years prior to purchasing the facility. Vince operated this office for 11 years before selling. After selling his company he was unable to work in Casper due to stipulations set by the sale and began working in various other facilities out of state until 2009.
Presently Vince brings his considerable knowledge, experience, and skill to Precision Prosthetics & Orthotics. He is excited to be once again helping the people of Casper with their orthotic and prosthetic needs.
